Latest Tests.
We kicked off 2025 by finalizing the development of our first running shoes: the ZERO MINTED ICE . A lightweight, comfortable model designed to perform well over short and medium distances.
Throughout the month, we received various units from the factory to continue testing and implement improvements. Each sample helped us refine details and confirm that we were building the product we wanted to launch.
With clear conviction, we launched the manufacturing order for the first 500 units of the MINTED ICE.
Final preparations.
We received the first units of the MINTED ICE, a key moment for monk. We began delivering them to our first customers gradually, gathering and analyzing the initial feedback.
At the same time, we continue working on the first version of our website, conceived from the beginning as our main sales channel and direct communication with the customer.
Moment of truth.
The moment we've all been waiting for has arrived: we're launching ZERO MINTED ICE along with the first version of the website. monk. is no longer just a project in development, but a real brand.
We sent our shoes to some of the leading trade magazines. With respect, but also with confidence, we awaited their reviews. For us, it was crucial to start listening to external opinions.
The results exceeded expectations: publications in Runner's World Spain, Runnea and Road Running Review , with very positive feedback.
The first sales begin. Word of mouth and media visibility generate trust, and monk. starts to take off.
First massive feedback and first community meetup
We started collecting the first real customer reviews after at least 15 days of use. For us, this feedback is the project's most valuable asset. From day one, we were clear that the customer comes first.
The reviews are positive and confirm that the product meets expectations. We also received suggestions for improvement, many of them in lengthy email conversations that reflect a high level of community engagement.
We also encounter errors: damaged boxes, some shoes missing insoles. We resolve these issues with exchanges and full refunds. If the customer isn't satisfied, neither are we.
This month we organized our first event in Madrid , thanks to a key collaborator on the project. Since then, we've been holding weekly meetups to run around the city, shaping a real community.
Asia and new developments.
With the arrival of warmer weather, activity and interest in running increase. This confirms something important: running is clearly a seasonal activity. Even so, we continue to grow and attract more people interested in Monk.
We're making progress in developing our apparel and the ZERO HAUS collection, selecting materials and creating the first samples. We know the market is saturated with sportswear, but we believe there's still room to contribute with our experience and vision.
First prototypes
We've begun testing the first prototypes of the ZERO HAUS . This model incorporates all the lessons learned from the MINTED ICE and is designed to last, protect, and support you during long training sessions.
We detected clear improvements compared to the previous model and began collaborating with athletes , incorporating their technical feedback into the product development.
"Try again."
We continue working on the sportswear line and the ZERO HAUS.
We tested materials, patterns and fits, foams... but nothing convinced us 100%. We decided not to launch anything until we found the exact balance between performance, comfort and design.
And summer arrived.
Production of the first pieces in the sportswear line has begun. We're starting with leggings for men and women , in two colors.
We received the units in the warehouse and began sales. The response has been very positive, and interest has exceeded expectations.
Turning point.
The sportswear line is now complete, and we're continuing production. We continue to receive very positive feedback on the leggings, except for the women's "papaya" leggings, which we had to discontinue because they were too see-through.
It's Berlin Marathon month, the first marathon for the founders of monk. This was the final test for the ZERO HAUS, as we ran in them. The result was achieved: a medal and the confidence that the HAUS were built to last.
It's "HAUS" time.
The production of the ZERO HAUS is entering its final phase.
We officially launched the first complete monk sportswear collection , solidifying the brand beyond footwear.
Second pitch.
We launched the MONK ZERO HAUS , our most ambitious shoe to date, designed for long distances and demanding training.
12 months, 12 hours.
We collaborated with Sergio Martin, athlete and influencer, in his charity challenge of running for 12 hours , reinforcing our position in the world of endurance running.
We reaffirm our vision: a clear commitment to running and to creating the best possible running shoes. We continue to build collaborations with elite athletes and a dedicated community.
